Condition monitoring pilot scoped for a dry-bulk fleet
A fleet-monitoring pilot scoped for a shipping line: use-case identification, edge integration, asset hierarchy, first analytical models, and a two-month evaluation on live data.
Challenge
A Japanese shipping line wanted condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of critical equipment, starting with propulsion, and needed to see the value on its own vessels before committing.
Solution
Arundo scoped a pilot that reaches live, evaluable results five to eight weeks after the use cases are identified: a use-case workshop, customer-specific infrastructure integrated with the onboard edge system in days, an asset hierarchy built with the crew, a first set of anomaly-detection models developed by data scientists with the line's engineers, and user onboarding before a two-month pilot period.
Impact
A pilot plan the line could evaluate on its own fleet, with anomaly events raised on live data and judged against the original problem.
