De-risking battery storage as a service with fleet-wide digital twins
A battery-storage digital twin template, scheduled anomaly detection and an AI agent in the team's chat, so a 100-unit fleet is monitored from day one.
Challenge
The group was launching battery energy storage systems as a service on 10–20 year contracts. With aggressive pricing, one major breakdown can erase the profit of dozens of well-run units, so acting early on faults is central to the business case. Telemetry sat in an IoT cloud with no fault prediction, manuals were kept apart from sensor data, and analytics proven on one unit had to scale to hundreds.
Solution
On Arundo Foundation, Arundo built a BESS digital twin template linking components, telemetry and manuals and showed a 100-unit fleet built from it, deployed scheduled KPI and anomaly-detection computes exposed by API to the customer's service application, and built an AI agent in the team chat workspace that flags anomalies and answers questions from telemetry and manuals.
Impact
Prioritised fleet-wide alerts for asset managers, and new units that join as template instances with models running from day one, so analytics scale with the contract portfolio.
